(Filed Under Textiles News). South-Korea based Hyosung, manufacturer of creora brand textiles and fibers, will premiere three trends for the 2012 intimate apparel market at Interfilière Paris and Mode City in September.
The first trend, Perfection, focuses on high-performance, second-skin fabrics that are lighter and more compact but still offer stretch, support and high levels of compression. Made with creora spandex/elastane yarns in both matte and glossy finishes, this theme lends itself to seamless shapewear for both men and women as well as basic intimates, sports bras and athletic briefs.
The second theme, Retro Fit, notes the ubiquitous trend of 1940s and 1950s vintage-inspired lingerie and shapewear. Creora notes the darker, seductive quality of film noir and burlesque influences and recommends black satin fabrics made comfortable with the inclusion of spandex/elastane fibers in intense matte or high gloss finishes. Creora performance H-350 fibers help with all levels of body shaping compression and lighter fabrics will keep from yellowing with the inclusion of creora eco H-550. Recommended Retro Fit styles include seamless structured bras, high-waist briefs with control panels and streamlined shapewear.
The final trend is Nurture, eco-inspired intimate apparel made from natural or recycled synthetic fabrics. Keeping with the popular movement toward green and sustainable products, creora eco H-550 offers environmentally friendly stretch fibers that can be added to lightweight, natural fabrics like cotton with seaweed, wood, soya and bamboo and lends itself to clothing like basic intimate apparel, loungewear and sleepwear.
The Hyosung Corporation operates in seven performance groups including textiles for categories including intimate apparel, swimwear, hosiery and activewear.
