(Filed Under Event News). The CURVENY trade show opened July 31 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City with a first day’s attendance exceeded the total attendance at the last CURVENY show in February.
CURVENY, which ran from July 31 to August 2, welcomed a total of 3,193 visitors, up from February’s 2,219. The show featured 315 brands from all over the world, and swimwear made its official New York debut after launching at CURVENV in August 2010. "Swimwear is an obvious extension to the already strong offering of lingerie," CURVExpo’s Laurence Teinturier told BODY. "Fifty percent of lingerie stores do carry swimwear already." Seventy-six designer swimwear brands appeared at CURVENY.
Brands and buyers are gearing up for CURVExpo’s West Coast installment: CURVENV, which will take place August 22 to 24 at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas.
