(Filed Under wholesale Classic Slippers/Shoes News). Footwear corporation Grandoe has announced the appointment of Karla Calder as vice president of sales for its women’s and men’s Smartdogs and Hush Puppies slipper brands.

"We are thrilled to have someone of Karla’s experience on our team," said Grandoe president and C.E.O. Eric Friedman. "She is an accomplished sales professional who understand our customers’ needs and shares our vision and enthusiasm for how our unique and innovative comfort footwear products can benefit our customers’ businesses."

Calder has over 20 years of sales experience with major footwear brands, including Ralph Lauren Footwear; Cole Haan, where she served as national sales director; and The Rockport Company, where she also held the position of vice president of sales.

"I am excited to join the Grandoe team," Calder said. "The organization has a long history of developing innovative, high-quality comfort products and has built a strong consumer following. I look forward to strengthening our retail partnerships and building new businesses."

New York-based Grandoe was founded in 1897. In addition to footwear, the company also produces gloves and other apparel accessories.
