(Filed Under Financial and General Interest News). Leading retailer Nordstrom opened its second store in the St. Louis market and announced plans to open a Nordstrom Rack in Manchester, Mo., a St. Louis suburb.

The second St. Louis Nordstrom store opened at the Saint Louis Galleria shopping center and offers 144,000 square feet of apparel, accessories and shoes for men, women and children. The store also offers certified bra and prothesis fitting as well as specialty tailor, shoe, cosmetics and personal shopping services.

The Nordstrom Rack will open a 35,000-square-foot location near regional shopping center Manchester Highlands in fall 2012. Nordstrom Rack, Nordstrom’s off-price retail concept, will offer Nordstrom apparel, accessories and shoes at discounts of 30 to 70 percent.

Seattle-based Nordstrom, Inc. currently operates 221 stores in 30 states.
