(Filed Under Event News). Despite the appearance of over 200 lingerie, clubwear, sleepwear, hosiery and sexy shoe brands, BODY Magazine noticed lower attendance than usual at the fall International Lingerie Show, held Sept. 19 to 21 at the Rio Hotel in Las Vegas.

Despite the modest showing, buyers from major retailers like Spencer Gifts, Amazon.com and Overstock.com were in attendance, as were buyers from major industry chains and boutiques, including Patricia’s, Fascinations, Hustler Hollywood, Christal’s, Castle Megastore, Déjà Vu Adult Emporium, Adam & Eve, Eros 1207, Déjà Vu Love Boutique, Romantix and many more. Major distributors were in attendance from countries around the world, including Canada, France, Germany, Greece and the U.K.

Brands including Music Legs, Leg Avenue, René Rofé, Shirley of Hollywood, Lip Service, Coquette and Dreamgirl returned to the show to display holiday, Valentine’s and spring/summer 2012 collections. Returning brand Baci Lingerie successfully premiered its Black Label Collection to the U.S. market. A handful of brands made their ILS debut, including Delicious Sexywear and Smiffy’s USA.

Michael Moreira of Specialty Trade Shows, the organizing company of ILS, said that a new trend at the fall shows is more Halloween deals. While Halloween trends are more common in the spring, as the March ILS show runs in conjunction with Spectrade’s Las Vegas Halloween Show, Moreira stated that "Halloween has become so popular that many of our vendors offered closeouts to buyers. The show is early enough for buyers to take advantage."

The 2012 International Lingerie Show will be held at the Rio Hotel March 26 to 28 and again on Sept. 10 to 12. Click on the photo report to see pictures from the September ILS!
