Limited Brands Revenue Up

(Filed Under Financial and General Interest News). Limited Brands, Inc. reported that revenue rose 11 percent in September due to strong sales at Victoria’s Secret and Bath and Body Works stores.

The increase in revenue, which excluded stores open less than a year, was more than double the figure that financial analysts expected. The fact that revenue for lingerie and other small gifts continues to increase may be a positive sign for the upcoming holiday shopping season.

The total revenue for the five weeks ended Oct. 2 came to $818.6 million, up from $735.8 million one year ago. Revenue for Limited Brands’ stores rose 13 percent at Victoria’s Secret, 12 percent at Bath and Body Works and 2 percent at Canadian lingerie chain La Senza.

Limited Brands, Inc. currently operates 2,625 Victoria’s Secret, Pink by Victoria’s Secret, Bath and Body Works, La Senza and Henri Bendel stores.
