(Filed Under Financial and General Interest News). U.S. retailer Gap Inc. announced the launch of its first flagship store in Hong Kong, the company’s ninth location in the Greater China region.
The store spans over 15,000 square feet on Queens Road in Hong Kong’s popular Central District and offers products from the company’s Gap, GapKids, babyGap and GapBody brands.
"Opening in Hong Kong is a momentous occasion and demonstrates Gap Inc.’s continued commitment to make our optimistic American style more readily available to Chinese consumers," said Redmond Yeung, president of Gap Greater China.
Gap Inc. launched e-commerce site www.gap.cn last year and expects to expand the number of Greater China retail locations to 45 by the end of fiscal 2012.
