(Filed Under retail Lingerie News). Leading Canadian lingerie retailer La Vie en Rose Inc. is expanding its presence in the Middle Eastern market.
The company recently opened a boutique at the Bab Ezzouar Shopping Centre in Algiers. Plans for a second Algerian store are underway after the opening exceeded the company’s expectations. "Through their travels, Algerian women were already familiar with and loyal to the La Vie en Rose brand before we opened our boutique," stated François Roberge, president and C.E.O. of La Vie en Rose. "We sold out of certain styles within the first few weeks of opening."
La Vie en Rose also announced a January 2012 opening of a boutique at the Sun City Mall in Cairo, which will be the company’s seventh location in Egypt.
Acquired in 1996 by Roberge, La Vie en Rose operates 150 boutiques in Canada and 50 international locations in Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
