(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). Designer Stella McCartney has previewed her lingerie collection for autumn/winter 2012-2013, focusing on producing effortlessly sexy feminine styles that are both easily wearable and eco-friendly.

State-of-the-art technology was used to produce the new range with the aim of creating the lightest lingerie available for an almost invisible, nearly nude wearing experience. Bra cups feature a thin layer of foam — 8 millimeters, compared to the industry standard 12-millimeter layer — making the cups approximately 25 percent lighter than the average on the market. Bonded edges on the bras and panties create a smooth look, while a new "supernatural" bra silhouette combines a wireless underbust and bra wings to produce a seamless bra that enhances cleavage while staying invisible under clothes.

McCartney, who is a vegetarian, expands her organic lifestyle to the lingerie brand by incorporating eco-friendly touches. All wires and hardware used in the bras is made of recycled metal, and organic cotton gussets are incorporated into the styles.

McCartney’s smooth lingerie looks are created from matte- and satin-finished microfibers with feminine lace trimming, available in plunge bra, bikini and thong styles in black, latte and blue python print colorways. Lace bra styles come in black, blush pink and dark emerald with black lace in the wirefree supernatural style as well as molded underwire, balconnette, plunge and strapless looks that feature thin bonded straps with a three-ring design that can convert to a racerback style. Star-shaped dark mesh is bonded to a cobalt blue, blush pink or black base in seamless balconnette and supernatural bra styles with matching thong and bikini panties. Coordinating sleepwear includes bodysuits, robes, chemises, camis and shorts. McCartney named the individual styles after "girls in cheeky situations," including Angela Grazing, Marguerite Riding, Fiona Popping, Cherie Sneezing and Julia Tumbling.

The 2012-2013 collection accommodates larger cup and back sizes, with bras ranging from size 30 to 38, A to E. Retail prices will range from $28 to $85 for panties, $55 to $150 for bras, $105 for a bodysuit and $150 to $300 for chemises.

Stella McCartney lingerie will be available in July at Stella McCartney boutiques and StellaMcCartney.com as well as select department and specialty stores around the world, including Nordstrom and Barneys New York in the United States.
