(Filed Under Event News). The Underfashion Club has announced 2012 Femmy Award recipients as well as a celebrity host for the January event that honors those who have contributed to the growth of the intimate apparel industry.
Television personality and celebrity stylist Carson Kressley, best known for TV programs "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" and "How to Look Good Naked," will host the event, which will be held Tuesday, Jan. 31 at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City.
The Femmy Lifetime Achievement Award will be given to Victor Vega, senior vice president of I.P.S. Management at Wacoal America, Inc. Lisa Aquilino and Isaac Gindi of Century 21 Department Stores, Rick Medlin of Fruit of the Loom and Kenneth Wong Top Form Brassiere Manufacturing Co. Ltd. will also accept industry awards. The Innovation Award will be accepted by Jimmy Yeh of Penn Asia Co. Ltd.
The Clinton Corners, N.Y.-based Underfashion Club is charitable organization within the intimate apparel industry that uses the proceeds from the Femmy Awards Gala to distribute scholarships and grants to students pursuing education related to the industry.
