(Filed Under wholesale Shapewear News). When shapewear producer Shapeez expanded its line last year, the company listened to customer feedback, particularly requests for a soft cup that didn’t add any size to the bust.
The resulting product was a new style for Shapeez’ bestselling Ultimate bodyshaping top, which features a patented design that eliminates bulges in the back, waist, stomach and hips. Now dubbed the Ultimate: Silkee Cup, the innovative style keeps the smoothing control of the original Ultimate bodyshaper, but replaces the molded foam cups with seamless fabric cups. The Silkee Cup has underwire to support and shape the bust without adding size, and the cups feature a lingerie-style lace-inspired pattern for a look that breaks away from the monotony of traditional bodyshaping tops.
The garment, which also features wide, non-slip straps and a no-roll hem, is available in nude and black shades in a total of 27 sizes accommodating bra sizes 33 to 46, B to F. The Ultimate: Silkee Cup wholesales for $42.50 and retails for $85.
The company, which launched its first product in 2007, is based in North Potomac, Md. Shapeez styles are available at retailers throughout the United States and Canada, including Jo Karen in Massachusetts, La Moda Fashions in Connecticut and Von Maur department stores.
