(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). Mika Brands, a US distributor of high-end European lingerie brands has announced the hiring of Olivia Feldman Lingerie as their east coast sales representative. The company will also be announcing a west coast sales rep in May.
Mika Brands was founded in 2011 as a spin-off from a previous business venture. The company currently imports two brands, Bracli, launched in 2011, and Lola Luna of France, which was launched in 2012. Keith Gurev, commercial buyer at Mika Brands, explained that they are planning on launching a third brand in 2013, adding “we will continue to promote and position specialty micro brands to North America.”
The Bracli brand, which features patented pearl designs according to Gurev, runs in sizes 0 through 16 and retails from $70 to $90. Lola Luna, which features Swarovski crystals and is inspired by the “beaches in Brazil and the South of France,” runs in sizes 0-8 and retails for $50 through $150.
Online, the two brands are carried by Bare Necessities, Bliss Lingerie and Amazon, among others. In New York, San Francisco, Chicago and Hong Kong, the brands are found in “leading boutiques, including Lingerie and Company, Molly Browns, Romantika, Sweetest Sin and Hustler Hollywood,” explained Gurev.
As part of their growth initiative, Mika Brands has recently expanded their FBA, or Fullfillment by Amazon, inventory so that it includes more styles and colors. Furthermore, the company will be attending Curve New York this August, and possibility the ILS show in Las Vegas in 2012.
Gurev added that other exciting plans include product promotion videos for the Bracli brand. He concluded, “We proudly offer a superior quality product and innovative fashion designs at a reasonable cost.”
