(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). When a 14-year-old company’s catalog output jumps from 285 pages to 450 in a single year it’s a clear sign that sales are accelerating. Such is the case with Espiral, a Florida-based firm offering a wide variety of lingerie, club wear, resort wear, dancewear and swimwear produced in its own factory in Colombia.
At the start, in 1998, “Espiral offered everything from bras and panties to sport wear and control garments,” explained co-owner Angela Escobar in a recent interview. “It was around 2004 when we decided to concentrate on our clubwear line and started becoming the best source when looking for clubwear and dancewear.” That grouping is produced under the AM:PM label.
The Espiral lingerie collection, which represents about 65% of overall production, is presented in the main catalog of over 300 pages in 2012. In addition, Escobar explained, she also produces “a small supplement for the Fall, Christmas and Valentines season released at the September ILS in Vegas. This is our “Fall in Love” collection and it’s popularity and size continue to grow year after year.
AM:PM, which now represents the other 35% of the company’s volume, has received ever-increasing attention from Escobar. She explained that AM:PM gives “options to our customers. It definitely is a great opportunity for Espiral’s re-sellers to diversify and increase profits. Our latest AM:PM catalog includes dresses, tops, leggings, cover-ups and swimsuits. Within this line we are offering high quality fabrics and classy designs. It is a very fresh, unique collection.” This year the AM:PM catalog jumped to about 150 pages, up from about 85 last year.
Escobar, who operates the company with her husband Pablo, emphasized that “Everying,” in the Espiral line “is mini. Women who wear it will stop traffic. You will see cleavage and legs. Very sexy. Espiral is provacative and sexy and has that little Latin flair to it that any woman can wear.” She explained that AM:PM is a little different. “We like to keep it more classy” and provide “a little more coverage. AM:PM is very fresh, edgy, classy.”
The AM:PM collection includes a variety of “resort wear styles” including lots of dresses and “Very sexy pieces,” boasts Escobar. For 2012, she noted, “The fabric is to die for. They are touchable, nothing like what you see.”
“There is no other company offering the quality and diversity Espiral’s clubwear offers,” claimed Escobar. “We truly are a complete package! If you need diversity..with more than 3,000 SKU’s, great images, wonderful packaging, reliable customer service, fair prices and quality products, Espiral is the way to go.”
Wholesale prices for the AM:PM collection "range from $9.95 for leggings and some of the skirts, to cocktail dresses for $14, and on up to $26 for the long dresses.” On the lingerie side, wholesale prices range from $2.55 for panties to $29.95 for long gowns. “The average price for Espiral dancewear is between $12 and $15 and clubwear range from $14 to $16,” said Escobar.
“Anything we make at Espiral has a Latin inspiration, a touch of Miami [and] South Beach that customers love and makes our collections very fresh and unique,” she emphasized. “No other company comes even close when it comes to dresses. We are the leading dress company in the industry.” She added that Espiral always provides lots of choices. Many styles come in “four sizes and more than two colors.” A particular favorite is Espiral’s Mix ad Match collection comprised of “pieces that customers use to make a complete outfit.” These include panties, skirts, tops and other accessories like leg warmers, leg wraps, and money bags.” She added that the current colleciton “comes in over 23 different colors including metalics, solid colors and prints that glow under black light.”
“We keep expanding the line, We try not to expand it too much, but,” she admitted “it is unstoppable. The main thing is that with each new Espiral line we keep on doing sexy things, edgy things and keep on top of what is happening on the runways.”
