(Filed Under wholesale Hosiery News). Frangi Pangi, the hosiery manufacturer, announced the appointment of Merit Tukiainen as regional sales manager, New England. Merit will be developing wholesale accounts and representing Frangi Pangi at women’s networking and shopping events.
Tukiainen’s background includes founding and managing two boutiques in Boston entitled Night & Day.
Jocelyn Maminta, founder and CEO of Frangi Pangi, said Tukiainen is widely known and respected in the women’s-retailing industry for creating innovative marketing programs and for developing lasting, win-win relationships with peers, customers, and vendors.
"We are very pleased to have Merit join our firm. Her understanding of fashion and quality with choice sets her apart and makes her a valuable member of our team," said Maminta.
Based in Hamden, Connecticut, Frangi Pangi manufactures all of their products in America. The hosiery retails for $17.50 and carries a guarantee, which states that if the customer tears the hosiery prior to getting four wears out of it, the customer can mail it in for free replacement. Frangi Pangi calls this the ‘4 Wear Run Free Guarantee.’
The hosiery comes in black as well as ten skin shades to reflect the spectrum of Frangi Pangi customer base. Among the features found in the company’s hosiery are: control tops, full coverage panty, run-resistant technology, and 20 denier sheer hosiery with sandal toe. Sizing of the products runs from A through D, as well as 1X and 2X.
On account of producing their products in the US, the company specializes in quick product replenishment. They are also focused on charity. The company donates a percentage of sales to support Caroline’s Room, an organization that builds safe havens for families with infants in neo-natal intensive care units (NICU) at hospitals across the country.
