(Filed Under wholesale Shapewear News). “We are a company that manufactures girdles with more than 30 years of experience. Our trademark Siluet, has been highly recognized for its quality and for the great benefits it offers to body shaping,” declared Ana Maria Vargas of Lia International Corporation, which produces the label.
Lia, which is based in Doral, FL and produces its shapewear in Colombia, is one of the more prominent South American companies carving out its niche in the American body shaping market. With its U.S. sales offices, regular appearances at major trades shows and a new advertising program, an increasing number of retailers are taking note of the company. One sign that the firm is ready to take on America is its claim that the biggest U.S. customer for its collection of shaping garments is JC Penney in Puerto Rico.
“Siluet satisfies our customers with ergonomic garments that are easy to use. They are made out of optimum materials that provide softness, comfort, and allows your skin to breathe,” continued Vargas. “We offer different girdle options to suit your needs: Reduce weight garments, shape wear in different materials (Latex, powernet, Lycra-nylon), post surgical and postpartum garments. The design of our Siluet garments meet all aesthetic standards which guarantee optimum results for your body when used continuously.”
A new item which has been a best-seller for the company since its introduction at the most recent MAGIC show in February, is Siluet’s Postpart, a bodysuit designed for women who have just give birth. According to Juan Vargas, a sales executive and Ana Maria’s brother, the shaping garment “made with a specially treated latex that helps erase scars and heal the skin, Postpart comes in a short leg version for $55 wholesale, $137 suggested retail; and a long leg version, $63 wholesale, $145 suggested retail.
