(Filed Under Wholesale Swimwear News). Parah’s spring, summer 2013 collection of beachwear, which will be exhibited at the upcoming Mode City in Paris in July, “is marked by romanticism but with a contemporary spin and the allure of poetry that links past and present: the leitmotif of a bubbly and glamorous line,” according to a spokesperson.
“Tangerine, sunny yellow, lime green and wine are colors that evoke the places and fragrances of bucolic Provence. And they’ve been combined with romantic and feminine cuts, necklines à la Brigitte Bardot, fringes, jerseys, printed ruffles and floral decorations, for innocent simplicity blended with the ingenuous and carefree sensuality of the provocative 1960s.”
“The Parah New Generation line proposes items with explosive colors, all perfectly blended on a base of optical white. The fabrics are matched according to tastes and needs, juxtaposing opaque finishes with shiny touches. This “matt shine” concept is the perfect punctuation for this dialogue of bold, glossy and resplendent fabrics. Cotton silk is used as a brilliant finish for comfort, and the mix of Lycra and lace creates a delicate balance between a contemporary look and incurable romanticism. One-piece swimsuits and bikinis boast ruffles and coy laces. The high-tech imprint comes from accessories in polyurethane gel, which give a frosty touch to the palette of fresh, bold summer tones.
“This is a versatile collection with vintage solutions and a return to denim through stone washed treatments that give these items a worn and trendy look,” according to the spokesman. “Special attention is paid to prints, where color blocking continues to be the main theme of the collection. Techno prints and polka dots sketch out geometric forms, and visionary tartans and flowers reinterpret the romantic style to create art on swimwear. All the prints have been designed to enhance every woman’s silhouette.”
On the Parah’s website, last year’s collection of bikinis range in price from about $80 to $200, with one piece suits retailing for around $200.
