(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). Cosabella has drawn inspiration from, and named its new fall/holiday collection after, the 1960 Fellini film, La Dolca Vita.
“Cosabella shows the Fellini way of experiencing La Dolce Vita’s indulgent lifestyle through images that portray the perfect blend of feminine sexuality and sophistication,” is how the company’s press materials describe the new collection and its images, all of which have a decidedly retro feel. The ad campaign has been named “La Dolce Vita II,” and the launch includes four short promotional films “highlighting a woman captivated by the enchantment of the past, yet enthused by her own passions of the present. Like Sofia Loren and many iconic women before her, her subtle yet bold persona represents much more than it appears; it portrays an image about a woman’s free will, and ability to express herself.” Original music accompanies the films, with lyrics written by Cosabella president, Valeria Campello.

Cosabella’s most aggressive recent moves have been on the retail side, with the opening of “flagship stores” in New York, Miami and Atlanta, as well as “shop in shops” in La Rinascente, in Milan, Galleries Lafayette in Paris and the Shinsegae department store in Seoul.
