Undersummers: A New Shortlette Fashion Panty

(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). Made of a “poly/spandex material” and designed to be “smoothing, yet not constricting, so there are no bulges on the leg or waist” the new, mid-thigh “Undersummers shortlette fashion panties” are “anti-shape wear by design,” according to their inventor.

Introduced by CarrieRae Adorna, the new panties with a “with mid-waist and mid-thigh cut,” were “originally designed to fill a niche previously lacking, comfortable undergarments to be worn during the hot summer months. Now the trend has broadened and Undersummers shortlettes are worn by women all year round.”

Adorna realized that on hot summer days (the firm is based in Houston), women were bothered by a list of discomforts: “Chub Rub, Muffin Top, Leg Bulges, and Panty Lines” all of which are eliminated with Undersummers. She added that “It does not ride up on the leg or roll at the waist,” and is “designed to reduce chafing. Made to be worn as a panty with a cotton gusset, and yet, no panty lines!”

Undersummers come in a variety of colors and styles and coordinating camis are also offered. Some panties are “matched with “complimenting lace for aesthetics. The lace is made-to-be-seen in the event that it peeks out from under your dress.” The designer added that Undersummers are “Comfortable enough to wear as night time lingerie or under trousers,” skirts and dresses. Indeed, “The term Undersummers originates from its original application of being a garment ‘Under Summer Dresses.’”

Colors range from all “Bridal White” and all “Black Classic” camis and shortlettes, to combinations of pink with black lace, red with black lace, peacock with black lace, polka dots and leopard and zebra prints. Retail prices range in the mid-$30 each for the shortlettes and camis, with wholesale prices in the $16 to $18 range for all.

According to Adorna, the “Leopard and zebra” prints are the “best sellers to stores.” She added, however, that consumers seem to like the peacock and lace version best. Ph-713.409.8395, The website is

“I am so excited to introduce Undersummers,” Adora declared. “The ultimate in panty comfort for women who feel most COMFY and SEXY when COVERED. Undersummers shortlette fashion panties were developed due to the lack of comfortable and pretty undergarments to wear with dresses that SOLVED the HUSH HUSH SHHHH undergarment problems that we women do not talk about.”
