(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). Anita International, a 126-year-old intimate apparel company specializing in larger-cup and post-mastectomy styles, began selling branded fashion, active and maternity lingerie through home shopping giant QVC’s e-commerce platform in October 2012.
“We are excited to be among the first premiere branded lingerie collections carried by the off-air division,” Anita General Manager Steve Bernstein said. “I was surprised to learn that 50 percent of QVC’s revenue is generated from online sales, and we are thrilled to be part of QVC’s mix and their support of the regular-price lingerie business. Anita has been very successful selling specialty bras via the Internet due to superior fit, quality and durability.”
Liberty Interactive Corp., the parent company of QVC, in August 2012 reported a second-quarter operating profit of $290 million, up from $288 million a year earlier. Revenue rose 5.3 percent to $2.37 billion, with revenue from QVC up 4 percent at $1.97 billion.
Anita currently has 13 lingerie styles available for purchase at QVC.com.
