(Filed Under wholesale Dancewear News). J. Valentine is going against the recent shift towards basics with her upcoming collections.
"The crazier I get, the more people seem to like it," the company's owner Judy Valentine said. "People really want to buy something unusual right now, so I am just making anything wild that pops into my head. Our basics have always done very well, but I want people to have more of a reason to buy from us than just a basic collection. I do not want a year to go by where people are not wowed by my new designs."
On March 10, the company will launch their newest club bikini and swimwear catalog. All of the products are swim-safe, and run at a wholesale price point range of $15.50-$29.50 in sizes S-L.
They will be coming also be coming out with two different clubwear volumes this year due to the large number of new styles. The first will launch by the International Lingerie show in April, and the second in June. Sizes will range from S-L, and wholesale prices will range from $15.50 for a basic piece, to $60 for a heavily detailed outfit. Valentine commented: "thanks to our customers, our clubwear has just exploded recently."
In other recent news, the company's Sweet Heart collection was featured on Fox News during the Valentine's season. Also for Valentine's day, staff members came together and made blankets from old pieces of heart-decorated fur. They then donated them to the battered women's and children's shelter "Su Casa" in Long Beach, California.
Valentine is also currently considering increasing her size offerings, and is seeking feedback from her vendors on this matter. She is interested in finding out what styles they would like to see in plus sizes.
"I would love to increase sizing; after all, women come in all shapes and sizes," she said.
