LingaDore, a brand created during the past decade by 32-year-old lingerie and swim producer Mendels Fashion Group, has just introduced its Autumn / Winter 2013/2014 lingerie, lounge wear, swimwear, beachwear and evening wear collections. On the continuing page we offer a first look a several of the new styles.
According to marketing director Tjibbe van Doorn in an e-mail message, “LingaDore’s new Autumn Winter collection contains a number of exciting firsts. One of these firsts is the addition of ‘bodies’ to the LingaDore and Moments by LingaDore collections. These bodies very much in fashion at the moment and can be combined perfectly with a jeans or jacket. A second first is the addition of a special bridal guepière to the LingaDore collection. This ivory colored guepière has a low v-back, which makes it ideal to wear under a brides dress.”
“New in the Moments by LingaDore collection,” she continued, “is the printed micro range. This Chloé range with trendy and stylish print is an absolute must have for the true lingerie adorer.”
The Autumn/Winter lounge collection is also “host to two firsts. The first is the introduction of a lower priced Lounge range, next to the regular ranges: Jayde. This very attractively priced home wear collection is available in grey color combined with elegant print. By offering this extra option LingaDore Lounge offers comfort for every woman, no matter her budget. The second first in the LingaDore Lounge collection is the very comfortable and sportive jogging suit. Perfect to wear before, during and after working out. Also worth mentioning is the addition of a new color to the “never-out-of-stock” collection, LingaDore Daily,” a group of basics. “As from Spring 2013, this highly popular collection will also be available in festive red color. Great for special occasions, but also very suitable for daily use. Last but not least, due to the success of LingaDore’s introduction of big size bras in the LingaDore, Moments by LingaDore and LingaDore Daily collection, LingaDore has also included big size bras in the new collections!”
LingaDore is sold mainly in stores in its native country, The Netherlands, as well as Germany and Belgium. It is also available on slingerie.com, a webstite based in the UK, Honeys Lingerie Boutique, a shop in the U.K, and lingerieplease.com, a webstore based in the same country, among other locations. In 2009 it opened its first “mono brand store” in Russia.
According to a profile on its website, Mendels opened its first China plant in 1990, maintaining offices there and in The Netherlands. “The export share of Mendels Fashion Group is large: more than 80% of our annual turnover originates from export. Our annual output reaches over 7.2 million pieces,” states the profile. “Customers of Mendels Fashion Group can be found all over the world: throughout Europe, Asia, Middle East, Australia and Russia.” A large part of the firm’s production is devoted to private label. “we create, develop, produce and supply private label collections for well-known European brands, numerous store chains and importers/distributors of lingerie. For these clients we take care of the whole process, such as the fitting, the import and export documents and licenses, labeling, packing and transportation to the client.”
