(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). Espiral is about to mail its largest catalog ever at about 370 pages, almost 25 per cent larger than its previous edition, and will, for the first time, exhibit at the Salon International de la Lingerie in Paris, both indicators of the recent growth of the company. Among many new additions to the catalog is an expanded collection of black light reactive styles featuring dramatic photos that will now be included on the packaging of individual items (see photos accompanying this article).
“We are very proud of the new 2013 collection,” co-owner Angela Escobar wrote in an e-mail response to questions from BODY a few days before the catalog release. “It is a very complete line including rompers, dance-wear sets, rave wear, club wear, long gowns, a few sexy lingerie pieces, mix and match separates and fantasy wear (bedroom costumes).” Overall the offerings represent an expansion and elaboration of what retailers have come to expect from Espiral.
“Our focus continues to be dance wear and club wear,” emphasized Escobar. “This time, we wanted to add something special to our black-light products and have made wonderful neon pieces with lots of fun colors that will be sure to catch the eye of customers. To make it easier for retailers, we produced black-light images for each product. These are featured on the box and, of course, are also available for on-line stores.” In all, the black light collection “is close to 40 products. Plus, all mix and match separates in the animal prints.” Within this group are more than 20 “all new pieces.” The average retail price is $14.95. “This includes dresses, sets (up to 4 pieces), body suits, pants and more.”
Black light styles are “something customers are looking for all the time. Whether it is for rave partygoers or clubs, neon and black light products are a guaranteed sell. This has always been a popular trend and it’s getting stronger now.” Speaking about Espiral’s home base, Escobar continued, “Miami is home to electronic events that are popular around the world! This fashion is really close to us. We live it in our backyard and want to make sure our customers don’t miss out on it.”
BODY will show more of the new Espiral styles in the near future. And Escobar promised that, in addition, its “new AM:PM collection will be ready, right on time, for the International Lingerie Show in Vegas [April, 2013]. We have done an amazing job in selecting fabrics and styles inspired by our favorite getaways for the AM:PM summer collection. Expect to see great things!”
