(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). A year ago Knock out!, the maker of a collection of solution intimates, underwear and sleepwear products, chose Tiger Lily (Pantone would call it nectarine) to be the first of the “fashion colors” it would use for limited editions of some of its styes in 2013. Serendipitously, it turned out that many in the world of fashion have now arrived at the same conclusion.
According to the firm, “Tiger lily is available in both our Smart Panties and our Mighty Nighties, sizes S-3X, for a March delivery. These fashions will be shown at the Curve show in February.
The search for its first fashion color was a “treacherous endeavor,” according to a spokesperson. “This was a big mental investment and dollar investment for Knock out! True fashion colors were not what we were known for. We are know for pretty garments with technology built in. The color that finally had everyone in our company going …it is so pretty, is our Tiger Lily, a blend of pink and coral. When fashion colors for 2013 were announced by Pantone, there was our Tiger Lily (named Nectarine) in the top ten colors for Spring 2013. Next, it came to light on the Fashion Trend Setters, a color forecasting service. Our excitement grew that we had confirmation our color choice was a winner. Little did we know the best was yet to come: at the Golden Globes, Jessica Alba was all aglow in a Tiger Lily gown by Oscar De La Renta. Knock out! had won the trifecta of color! We are boiling over with excitement to share with our stores and consumers our new fashion color Tiger Lily. This color will brighten everyones retail horizion because the color is irrestible.”
