(Filed Under wholesale Sleepwear News). LéA is an elegant sleepwear brand, made in Abu Dhabi, with eventual plans to sell in the U.S. market on its “agenda” according to director Nathalie Abdou. Gulf Ready Made Garments, parent to the brand, does private label production for many companies in the Middle East and Persian Gulf, and produces underwear under another of its own brands: Ellina Lingerie. Nathalie’s sister Christine is in charge of the production of the LéA sleepwear.

Currently the firm has representation on in Canada and “we are looking to expand into the US market and therefore [are] looking for wholesalers or direct retailers in that region,” wrote Nathalie Abdou in an e-mail message. “Right now I proudly say that I cover the whole GCC [Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and United Arab Emirates] and Middle east area. My aim at the show every year is to meet new clients from different parts of the world and to grow my network,” she said, referring to her participation in the Paris Salon International de la Lingerie, where she has been exhibiting since 2008.

Abdou, who distributes LéA through a company controlled distribution office, One world trading LLC, told BODY the parent company has been producing intimates for 35 years. “We provide private labels to franchise companies in the gulf or retailers. We offer different types of services. Some of the brands we manufacture to in the gulf are “NAYOMI”, “ K-LYNN.”

“I would like to emphasize,” added the LéA director, “as a brand as I am looking to push it forward. For decades now my family has been creating and manufacturing for brands and what I would like to do now is use our facilities and our strength in manufacturing and [to] deliver straight to the consumer a brand. That is what I am working on now.”
