(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). Crème Bralée, launched recently by Q-T Intimates to appeal to larger, curvier women needing larger cup sizes, has already met with success in the marketplace. The small but colorful and elegant collection of bras and panties, is available in band sizes ranging from 32 to 46, and cup sizes C through G.
Operations manager Evan Kutzin, a member of the fourth generation at the 68-year-old firm, described the line as a “Full-busted and full-figured product, with European inspired fabrics and laces, all at affordable prices. Bras retail in the $30 to $36 range but compete in fit and fashion with bras twice that price.” Panties in the line retail from $12 to $18.50. Overall the collection suggests the look of a high-end French label.
Evan’s mother Meryl, vice president of merchandising, emphasizes the luxurious look and comfortable feel of the line, while designer Liz Marrell talks about the use of high quality fabrics and attention to fit.
In addition to Crème Bralée, Q-T produces a wide variety of intimates, everything from basics to sleepwear and shapewear. There is also a dance collection (as in ballet dance), and a collection for nursing mothers produced under license from La Leche League International.
A significant part of Q-T’s business is private label, with the firm creating intimates for some of the best-known companies in the U.S.
