(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). Drawing on a love of mythology and fantasy as inspiration for a provocative new line of lingerie, Véronique Lapage has unveiled Feu de Vénus, an ultrasensual collection for discerning modern women.
The symbology associated with Roman goddess Venus — flawless beauty, fascinating attraction and divine sexuality — serve as the foundation of the line’s debut fall/winter collection.
Lapage, who previously designed for Blush and Victoria’s Secret, broke away from established lines to design and craft Feu de Vénus from a studio in Montreal with the aim of “exposing the industry to a new vision,” she stated, one that is “uncompromisingly bold, modern, intricate and alluring.”
The deep black Axelle line features smooth straps that crisscross the female form in designs like a thong, bikini, molded demi-cup bra and sexy waist cincher. The use of straps is also found in the Ophelie line, but skews more delicate with strap ruching, bow details and the dominant amethyst colorway in styles like a thong, bikini, garter belt and molded plunge bra. Finally, the Elsa line features sultry black microfishnet with black lace and bow adornments in a thong, bikini, garter belt and simple triangle bra.
Feu de Vénus bottoms range from sizes S to L and $90 to $160 at retail, while bras range from 32 to 36, B to D, and $150 to $220 at retail. The collection is currently available at luxury lingerie e-commerce site Nancy Meyer as well as London boutique Dolci Follie.
