(Filed Under wholesale Plus Size News). Ashley Graham, a plus size model who has appeared in prominent fashion magazines as well as ad campaigns for Lane Bryant and Levi’s, has created a lingerie collection for Canadian plus size retail chain Addition Elle.
The 14-piece collection ranges in price from $28 for a panty to $70 for a bra and $90 for a “sexy chemise inspired with a vintage feel,” according to the retailer’s announcement. Sizes for the bras range from 36 DD to 44 DD. The collection will appear in 70 of the retailer’s approximately 100 locations, as well as on its website, www.additionelle.com, on November 1.
“I drew on my experiences as a plus size model to create lingerie pieces that work on the body and are as comfortable and supportive to wear as they are beautiful,” declared Graham. “My goal was to create a luxurious collection which could flatter women of all sizes and ages, bringing out their inner sexy goddess as beauty comes from within and sexy is a state of mind. Each piece has a special place in my heart and was inspired by bras in my personal wardrobe that I found to be both beautiful and supportive. I was really passionate about creating a beautiful, non-padded bra that every woman would want to wear that was supportive but sexy at the same time.”
Graham added that she “collaborated with Addition Elle because I love their own lingerie and was impressed by their expertise in fit so I’m very excited to be launching my debut lingerie line with them. I thoroughly enjoyed collaborating with the design and merchandising team to create my dream collection and I’m looking forward to future collaborations.”
Addition Elle’s vice president merchandising, Janice Leclerc, said of the collaboration, “It’s been a great pleasure working with Ashley. She is as passionate about beautiful lingerie as we are. We have combined Ashley’s ideas with our extensive expertise and fit knowledge in lingerie design to create a truly luxurious collection that is not only beautiful but supportive and affordable to our customers.”
“Our customers will be able to experience Ashley’s eye for great design and color for this new addition to our lingerie line-up,” continued the retailer’s Roslyn Griner, vice president marketing and visual display. “For this collection we were inspired to create a campaign shot by Jean Claude Lussier featuring Ashley in a theatrical concept that puts Ashley in the spotlight.”
