(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). Bristol, U.K.-based intimate apparel retailer Esty Lingerie announced the winner of its third annual lingerie design competition, which was based around flower-inspired designs.
The winner, Iris-Maria Segedin of Estonia, won with her take on poppies: a sheer red petal-like babydoll with a detachable black stamen-inspired fringe harness. Segedin’s design will be sold on Esty Lingerie, and she will receive a set of her lingerie, a £75 gift card to Esty and a lingerie goody bag worth £50.
Esty Lingerie said it selected Segedin’s design not only for its originality and compatibility with the competition’s theme, but also because of how well it works with Esty’s existing products featuring harnesses and choker straps.
“I knew I wanted to design something that had a tactile element to it, something that would work for a variety of body types and would be versatile and very sexy,” Segedin told Esty. “I have recently been interested in the use of fringe in clothing and lingerie and knew it would be perfect to represent the many stamens, and feel exciting to wear while being revealing and covering at the same time.”
