(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). “Dress up your daydreams” is Kokeshii designer Samantha Tharler’s mission statement, and her new, handmade intimate apparel collection certainly helps to do just that, combining contrasting colors, unique surface design techniques and feminine embellishments to create one-of-a-kind looks.
Inspired by blissful Japanese Kokeshi dolls dressed in luxurious robes, Kokeshii intimate apparel builds on the idea of tranquility and luxury. Tharler offers personalization and customization for any of the products offered, which are produced by hand in New York City from recycled materials when possible.
Kimono remnants and silk are used to create a colorful bra and thong set, which retail for $110, while a luxurious floor-length reversible robe retails for $125. Embellished panties made from velvet, silk and chiffon range from $18 to $36.

In a recent note to BODY, Tharler wrote, “Some other projects I have been working on include a bra and underwear set called “The Bubblicious Process,” that features all the gum wrappers I have accumulated through the stressful process of starting a business and sewing all day.” She went on to report she has “finished this nightgown that was inspired by the scent Patchouli Lavender Vanilla from Sabon. The silk fabric was first ice dyed, which was a beautiful process.”

I love kimono fabric, would love to see it in ingerie!
