(Filed Under Wholesale Swimwear News). PrimaDonna, a division of Van de Velde, launched a new and extensive swim collection on The Pure Liner (a ship specifically designed for corporate events) in the Belgian city of Antwerp. Included are seven groups, each named for an alcoholic beverage: Punch, Pina Colada, Copa Cabana, Sherry, Cocktail, Tequila and Mojito.
The beachwear is designed specifically “for women that take a large cup but don’t wish to compromise on fashion or the perfect fit,” declared the firm’s Geertje Verstraeten in brand support. According to the company, some of the groups and some of the color-ways are already in lingerie shops now with others to follow through March.
A variety of silhouettes are offered including bikini’s, one-piece suits, takinis, dresses, shaping swim suits, pareos and swim shorts.
Van de Velde is a public company based in Belgium that owns both wholesale brands and retail chains, including Intimacy in the U.S. Other properties include Rigby & Peller and Donker stores in Europe and the Marie Jo and Andres Sarda wholesale brands.
