(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). Fast-growing intimate apparel and adult products direct seller Pure Romance has announced its acquisition of Slumber Parties and the addition of 3,000 consultants expected to join the company, expanding Pure Romance’s footprint across the U.S. and Australia.
Pure Romance CEO Chris Cicchinelli said the deal is part of the company’s plan to invest in long-term growth over 2014, along with a planned $3 million in brand advertising, $2 million in technology upgrades and the launch of a new, sleek website at PureRomance.com.
“The Pure Romance team is excited to welcome Slumber Parties consultants into our growing family of women who embody our mission to empower, educate and entertain,” Cicchinelli said. “Our consultants’ success is our first priority and we do our best to support them in growing their businesses.”
Pure Romance said it is proud of its role in what it calls the “pink collar movement” — women who are supporting and providing for their families by earning a steady, sizable income. The company said more than 4.8 million women will attend a Pure Romance party in 2014, learning about its expanded line of bath and beauty products, massage oils, lubricants, lingerie, sex toys and adult accessories.
The intimacy brand’s sexy, romantic lingerie styles include satin garter slips in pink, purple and leopard print with black mesh and lace details, as well as cropped, flowing babydolls with lace and ruffles that range from $49 to $59. A full-body black fishnet stocking rings in at $18.
Pure Romance, based in Cincinnati, is a woman-to-woman direct seller of intimacy products that employs more than 100,000 consultants and works with Indiana University’s Center for Sexual Health Promotion for educational empowerment ventures.
