(Filed Under wholesale Activewear News). Koral Activewear has launched a new activewear and loungewear collection representing a collaboration between Los Angeles designer Peter Koral and Brazilian-born fashion designer Ilana Kugel.
The firm describes the collection as “Uptown sophisticate meets downtown edge,” noting that it is “crafted for high-performance, style and sustainability for the modern day woman.” The new line is “Re-imagining the way fashion meets fitness, Koral creates luxurious pieces that seamlessly transition from workout to street...a high-tech, comfort-chic collection that effortlessly takes women through spin class to farmer’s market then sipping at the cafe.”
Retail prices range from $58 for a basic top to $244 for a zip front jacket.
A key focus of the new collection is the “one-piece...slimming high performance jumpsuit” in brushed elastane. Also important, the Infinity (a new fabric used by Koral) leggings and shorts “in high fashion sheen. Other highlights include sports bras, tanks, and cropped pants in ... eye-popping colors and mesh overlays.”
Koral’s loungewear includes “fresh proportioned crop tops, tanks, and lounge pants in lightweight French terries and cotton slubs” and “two-way jackets and vests” designed to be paired with coordinating activewear.
The firm describes Infinity as a new “fabric that is notably comfortable, soft to the touch and durable, retaining its shape and resisting chlorine ten times more than conventional fabrics. Another new textile is Evanesce by Koral, a moisture managing, body-smoothing compression fiber built to wick away perspiration and inhibit unpleasant odors.”
Made in Los Angles, Koral Activewear is currently sold at ShopBop.com, Carbon38.com, Nordstrom.com, Equinox, and boutiques across the U.S.
