(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). Parah, the Italian beachwear and lingerie firm, has hired Ferdinando Pandolfi as its new general manager to start in October. Pandolfi, who has a degree in economics, worked previously for La Perla and Armani and will become a member of Parah’s board of directors.
“We felt it was necessary to add a new figure within the company,” stated Gianluca Piazzalunga, the president and CEO of Parah S.p.A. He added that the aim is “to give a boost to our brand equity, starting with the values of innovation and tradition that are in its DNA, and to develop marketing and distribution strategies for the Italian and international markets.”
Founded in 1950, Parah now “produces around 600,000 garments for its brands Parah (lingerie and beachwear), Parah New Generation, Parah Uomo, and Impronte Parah,” according to the company announcement. It added that its products are sold “in approximately 2,000 stores in Europe and the rest of the world, in Parah boutiques, and through other partnerships.” The company has limited distribution in the U.S. and exhibits regularly at the Curve shows.
