(Filed Under wholesale Shapewear News). Lucky & Me, a new kids underwear and sleepwear brand has introduced the “Lily Collection” of organic cotton underwear for girls.
The company claims the new line “upholds Lucky & Me’s commitment to children’s comfort and health by using organic cotton grown without the use of pesticides and manufactured into fabric without chlorine bleach.” Lily is offered as a three-pack briefs and a camisole and brief set, both at $18.
Founded in 2013 and based in Windham, NH, Lucky & Me retails on its own website and lists, on the site, about two dozen retailers — mainly in the central portion of the U.S. — where its products are sold. Retailers include such shops as The Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs, WV; Smarty Pants Kids’ Boutique in Tampa; Ella Bella in Southlake, TX; Patty Cakes in Jonesboro, AR; and Teton Kids in Jackson, WY.
Lucky & Me argued in its recent announcement that “Standard practices of using hazardous insecticides during growing, plus bleaching and dyeing before processing into the everyday products, can result in harmful by-products that are potentially irritating to children’s sensitive skin. Parents’ increasing awareness of the risks associated with exposing their young children to these chemicals has elevated interest in organic cotton, and was the inspiration for both launch of the Lucky & Me brand and its most recent Lily Collection.”
