(Filed Under wholesale Men's Underwear News). UFM Underwear for Men is expanding. The company, which features a unique drawstring pouch, has added new colors, a 9 inch boxer brief style and additional sizing for big and tall customers.
UFM also claimed it has enjoyed “50% per month consumer growth following their website/Amazon launch in January 2015 and extremely positive feedback from customers in the marketplace.”
“The biggest challenge for us in the beginning was to reach and educate consumers on UFM’s unique support, anti-chafe and isolation benefits. After men wear their first pair, they are coming back and requesting more,” declared president and CEO, John Polidan.
The new colors for UFM are camo, royal blue, turquoise, and white. Various styles have previously been available in black, red and gray. The company’s new big and tall sizes now accommodate waist sizes 44”-58”.
A key aspect of the UFM underwear is the unique drawstring technology that, in Polidan’s words, “allows the user to adjust the support to their own preference and does not lose integrity.” He added that an additional benefit is that the underwear “does not utilize elastic to provide the support. As we all know, elastic loses its integrity beginning with the first wash, and the support provided with normal support underwear degrades quickly.”
Another recent innovation is that the company has updated the support system so that “the drawstring now ties outside of the waistband,” according to a company spokesperson. “Also, the team has aligned the sizing to the more familiar standard of Small being 28-30” and Medium being 32-34.”
The company has reported success this year in expanding it distribution to traditional brick and mortar retailers. Polidan promised, “We’re looking forward to working with retailers and expanding even further in 2016–it won’t be long until our Loyal UFM customers see us on store shelves.”
