(Filed Under Wholesale Swimwear News). Sol Lusso, specializing in scarves, pareos, cover-ups (and soon, swimwear), has refined, upgraded and expanded its offerings for 2016, its second year in business.
“Since the launch of Sol Lusso, we have changed the materials we use for our production,” explained Irina Howard the owner and designer. “We use natural fibers of silk, cotton and cashmere to create the most beautiful high quality, versatile products. Currently we offer 100% silk scarves, 100% cotton oversized scarves/pareos and 100% pure cashmere shawls.”
Wholesale prices for the styles “range between $48 and $150” with retailers able to “at least double” those prices for their customers. “The production of our silk and cotton scarves happens in Italy. The cashmere shawls are produced in Mongolia, where the highest quality of cashmere comes from.”
Howard said she is targeting a wide variety of boutiques, department stores, beach and swim shops, resorts, cruise lines and gift shops.
“It’s been great meeting with many retailers and receiving a positive reaction from them. Retailers love our unique designs, high quality and versatility of the products. Also, retailers find our products to be more unique as they are not made in China.” Since her launch, Howard has expanded her inventory and also plans to add swimwear later this year. This July she plans to be at the Swim Show in Miami.
While she does not yet use independent sales reps, Howard said she is considering the possibility.
