(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). After an absence from U.S. lingerie trade shows for more than a decade, German-based Karl Conzelmann GmbH & Co KG and its brands, Nina Von C and Like it!, will return to Curvexpo in New York later this month.

“From 1999 to 2004 we showed the collection at Lingerie Americas,” explained Ulrich Karl Conzelmann, the export manager, adding that although the brand has not been shows, it has maintained “long lasting and reliable cooperation with customers in the US and Canada since the early 1980ies.” Now the company is looking to expand its business here.

“With our brands NINA VON C and Like it! we are looking for new customers such as retail shops, mainly lingerie boutiques. We have already cooperated with department stores, chain stores and supermarkets in private label production and are looking for new partners and customers in this kind of business for a long term cooperation as well.”

On the company’s European website, retail prices for bras ranged from 29.95 to 34.95 euros (approximately $33.95 to $36.62) and shapers from 14.95 to 29.95 euros (about $16.95 to $33.95). Asked about U.S. wholesale prices, Conzelmann replied, “This actually depends on the terms and also on the size of shipments.”

According to the export manager, U.S. customers come to his company because of the “High standard of technical know-how in production and designs” and the firm’s near full century of doing business. He added the company is known for “finest fabrics; perfect fitting programs in natural fibers and blends with natural fibers.” A key fact is that “most fabrics and styles” are made in Europe.

“We care for our customers and see them as long-term partners.” Conzelmann emphasized the firm offers “High quality and good design at a reasonable price.”

In addition to the U.S., the firms sells to “Germany, France, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Poland, Czech Republic, Russia, Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Japan, South Korea, Australia.”

“At the moment we have no sales rep in the U.S.,” Conzelmann continued. “We would be interested in a cooperation with a reliable agency. Also importers might be interesting.”
