“I was inspired to leave corporate America seven years ago and go it alone,” declared CEO Psyche Terry in answer to questions from BODY. “The name seemed appropriate and wanted others to know that, just like me, they could do it as well. I hope that many woman will be inspired by my story and brand. Putting my name on our product shows that it can happen.”
The executive explained her intimates focus on women sizes 14 to 24. “Our product targets women that do not want to be called plus size. They are fashion conscious curvy woman. They are the norm in America. They want great fit and fashion designed for them.” She added, “Fashion with energy and soul.”
“We design and manufacture full figured bras for curvy woman,” she continued. “Our sizes range from 36DD to 40DDD. We consider ourselves a fashion foundation product for the masses. We want to make the very best product for them. There are no ugly prints in this line. We are taking Americas “go to” bra and making great. We offer great fit, great fashion at a great price. Our bras come in three styles the balconette, plunge and a mutliway. The multiway bra is strapless and can be worn five different ways. All of these bras are available in nude, chocolate, mocha, almond and black modal cotton fabrics. We bring new fashion to these colors by using three different laces to accent our bra line including a leopard, polka dot and geo lace this season. We have a cutting edge design team. As the market turns so does the Inspire Psyche Terry line. We have created the perfect fashion fitting foundation.”
Along with the other changes, “We have gone to a more traditional price point,” said Terry. “All bras will be $25-30 wholesale with a map pricing program of $55.” She added, “Everything is ready to ship in January 2017. We are still fitting and wear testing at this time. We want to be perfectly sure that we are making the best garment. I want to nail the fit.”
Expanding on the importance of fit, Terry continued: “Our fit is 100% better than last year. It is a totally different. I am so proud of this new bra line. We want to be the go to bra that woman can rely upon. I want them to love it. We added a tech designer to improve our fit and fashion. We have also added a merchandising executive to help create our core products. I want all best sellers. We went out and tore apart the market to understand fast fashion. We want to make product that is catwalk worthy. Inspire Psyche Terry adds a millennial flair to fast fashions and brings it down to earth for the everyday consumer. You have to understand what people are looking for and get it to them in a timely fashion. Our team continues to grow every year improving the production every step of the way. We can now update our line every few months with new colors and laces. We want to continue offering our customers new fashion with a fit they will grow to love.”
As part of the expansion “sexy sleepwear and lounge wear” is being added.
In other news, UI Global Brands has recently been adding personnel. “Many of our team have been around in this industry longer than I’ve been on the planet,” stated Terry. “It’s amazing to work with them. We gelled together as a group. A very exciting experience. What we have accomplished together in the last six months would have taken me years without their help and guidance. We have totally transitioned the brand and the product line into something Inspiring. It is so different I had to change the name.”
