(Filed Under wholesale Socks News). Standard Merchandising, a sock and hosiery manufacturer, has announced new developments under each line it produces for the upcoming season.

The company owns and manufactures B.ella, Nouvella, QTFeet, 2 Brothers and is a licensee for E.G. Smith. The overwhelming majority of the company’s socks are produced in the U.S. in their Pennsylvania-based knitting mill.

B.ella is “our upscale line,” said Lee Tarnoff, a third generation owner of the over 85-year-old company, featuring Italian yarns in luxury blends including cashmere and angora.

This year, B.ella, which is launching with approximately 50 sock styles, has been revamped to include knit-in designs such as tiger and multi-colored rugby stripes. The range also includes a full line of baby socks in luxury yarns, said Tarnoff.

“The new line has very fashion-forward colors,” he said. “We’ve added a diverse palette including plum, fuchsia and turquoise.” B.ella’s wholesale prices range from $3.75 to $15. The new styles will begin shipping by August.

Nouvella is “our novelty line, which targets a much younger customer,” said Tarnoff. This line features funky space dyed socks and is priced from approximately $3.50 to $5 wholesale. In addition to approximately 25 new sock styles, the Nouvella range also includes baby socks, tights and space dyed T-shirts.

QTFeet features “very bright socks with a hand-knit look,” said Tarnoff. The colorful socks, which are made with recycled cotton, are available in girls and women’s sizes. Wholesale cost on women’s is $6 and is $5 for girls. This line includes five styles for both women and girls.

For the company’s E.G. Smith license, Tarnoff has launched a full eco-friendly line featuring styles made of organic, hemp and recycled yarns. “It’s doing very well,” he said. The range features over 30 eco-friendly products and also the original E.G. Smith collection of socklings, over-the-knee socks and tights in cotton and Lycra. Wholesale prices range from $4 up to $8, with tights at $12.

Standard Merchandising also manufactures socks under its 2 Brothers label, which features organic cotton, hemp and recycled yarns.
