(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). Impudique, the new French lingerie label, continues to expand with its second collection. Charlotte Catanzaro, daughter to fetish designer Patrice Catanzaro, discussed the newest directions with BODY.

“This year the main theme is nudity. I combined thin and transparent fabrics with quality embroidery, to give the illusion of a near-naked body. I use always black mesh, as in the first collection and because Catanzaro is black. I tried to bring something different with lace and embroidery.”

“Being an artist is also to see something in the street,” she continued. “On the TV or even in a dream. And use this idea to create. And sometimes you wake up with an idea and you don’t know where it came from.”

“From year to year I’m going to have to grow up in this market, and for that I need to create many new designs, and always be looking, reaching for different things which don’t exist yet. Expanding is a necessity in the lingerie world.”

Asked about the American consumer, Catanzaro replied, “if I believe social network, the collection is really welcome in the U.S. market.
