(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). A military inspired, camouflage-based lingerie group proved to be a surprise hit for Mapalé, the Florida intimates, swim, resort, dance and beachwear producer.
Commander In Chic “is the most successful capsule from our Mapalé Lingerie 2018 Volume 2 Collection,” co-owner Angela Tobon told BODY.
The collection of about 20 pieces combines a variety of influences and details: “Army trend. Camouflage prints, structured silhouettes, cuts, patches, buttons and other elements of bellic inspiration. We have sporty looks with shimmery accents, deep cleavage, high leg, and wide elastic bands on waist and top base.” She added her “designers were inspired by a lifestyle trend brought about by women who want to feel empowered, in control.”
Commander In Chic “was a risk for us,” she admitted. “Prints are always a risk. Customers will either love or dislike them. There is usually no middle ground for prints.” But, she continued, “customers loved the collection. It is the most popular line.”
The capsule utilizes “spandex, lace, mesh, fishnet, delicate feminine trims and elastic bands.” In terms of color, “Green is the big winner. Black, nude and shimmery accents complement the color palette.” Retail prices range from $24 to $40. Contact the company at (888) 402-0012 or Orders@Mapalewear.com. — NM
