(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). In early 2019 Shapeez will introduce to retailers and consumers its Comfeez bralette, a wire-free design with years in development, which can be used with or without foam cups.
As with all the company’s other bras, it is based on the patented design concept, invented by co-owner and CEO Staci Berner, that eliminates the look of bulges and back fat, while at the same time providing full bra support and slimming and shaping benefits.
“Some of our many Shapeez customers have told us over the years that they would like the option of a garment that does not rely on under wires, so we created this product with a pocket for removable cups,” explained co-owner and CFO David Berner. “The bralette is a light, wireless bra, offering the same back-smoothing and all-day comfort as our other Shapeez bras. The Comfeez features an easy access upper-side pocket that can accommodate anything from silicone nipple covers to foam cups to prosthetics, giving you the ultimate in fashion flexibility.”
“The Comfeez is made from all-way-stretch, moisture wicking, nylon-Lycra fabric that feels like a second skin, and features a beautiful no-roll lace hem,” continued David Berner. “It is designed with easy to reach, front adjustable straps, with no back bands or closures. This makes our Comfeez bralette practically invisible under clothing.”
“The foam cups, which are sold separately, have a laminated fabric covering.” Several Comfeez options will be offered: “both short and long versions, a racer back, front lace and a maternity style each in black, nude or both and in five sizes: small, medium, large, extra large and 1x.”
Pricing for the new bras has not been announced, but it is expected to be somewhat lower than the existing collection.
“The lower price and the small number of SKU’s will make it very easy for stores to introduce and stock the Comfeez bralettes,” David Berner concluded. “And we expect this introduction to eventually expand the number of retailers offering the entire family of Shapeez products. The Comfeez will also expand the age range of our consumers, because bralettes do tend to add a younger consumer to the mix.”
