(Filed Under wholesale Sleepwear News). İpek Kıramer is a Turkish designer bringing a 35 piece collection of luxury “sleepwear, robes, chemises, wedding sets, pajamas and kimonos” to the upcoming Curve show in New York at the end of February.
She has worked in Istanbul in the intimates business since the 1980’s, and last summer opened a pop up shop in the Hamptons to explore the American appetite for her fashions, an associate, Feride Tansug, told BODY. Except for the pop up, İpek Kıramer designs have not been sold in U.S. stores.
The designer “is preparing a special collection for the U.S. market. She won’t come with the entire collection that you see on the website but a more specific one for the U.S. market. She has a unique understanding of the woman’s body. She always chooses the nicest material: silk, laces blending with a unique savoir faire. Each piece is hand crafted.”
Tansug continued that wholesale prices for the collection ranges between $450 and $600, with landed U.S. prices averaging $535 to $780.
Ipek Kıramer and Tansug will both be at the upcoming show. Commercial contact for the collection is Tansug at firstname.lastname@example.org or +1 415 690 9943. — NM
