(Filed Under Fashion News). Mike Savage, formerly of East Coast News, has purchased Fantasy Lingerie.

Savage was employed by East Coast News for 24 years, and resigned in February to take over at Fantasy. According to him, the resignation was amicable.

“I worked for two great brothers [at East Coast News] and I wanted to branch out and build something on my own,” Savage commented. “I felt that Fantasy Lingerie was like a sleeping giant: perfect opportunity for me to own and improve a business.”

Immediately after taking over, Savage added a toll-free phone number to better serve his customers. He also plans to launch an upgraded website on June 1st, which will allow customers to place orders 24/7, and will include immediate order placement and immediate delivery. His other plans include beefing up his design team, and adding up to a dozen new sales people over the next few years.

“We are always looking for new sales people,” he said, adding that candidates should be “thinkers.” Experience in the business is not a requirement.

Savage’s goals with the company are to make customers as happy as possible, which he says is the most important thing.
