Ipomia: Specializing In Post-Op Recovery Bras

(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). A key to the best physical and emotional recovery from breast augmentation surgery is wearing the right bra to wear after the procedure. Ipomia, the lingerie company from Sweden, was founded to provide just such products.

“This is one of the things we tell the clinics we work with,” explained founder Cecilia Kadar. “Standard bras aren’t made with implants in mind. And in the U.S., in particular, it’s difficult to find anything over a DD cup at the mall. Boutiques that know how to do a proper bra fitting and that carry bras with a perfect fit for implants are ideally positioned to serve these post-surgery customers.”

“Ipomia has created bras that not only provide the proper support, but also look beautiful. Who wants to share a post-op selfie in a medical compression vest? Give them a bra that makes them feel sexy and stylish while healing.”

“Before they can move on to everyday lingerie, they’ll be wearing post-surgery bras for a little while,” Kadar continued. “And we all know how unfashionable those can be! The First Love Bra is a plastic surgeon-approved post-surgery bra that’s actually pretty.”

“This bra is great for all women who have gone through breast surgery. It doesn’t matter if the reason is medical or aesthetic. Support is important and the length of need depends on the type of surgery. A reduction might require much longer than an augmentation, for example.”

As second choice is the “The Essential Recovery bra. It’s a highly-supportive and ultra-comfy post-surgery bra that you can wear immediately after your augmentation, and for 24 hours a day.”

“The first bra you wear after an augmentation plays an important role in how well you’ll heal. This wire-free style features our patented Ipomia Support System to hold your implants securely in place, while being comfortable enough to wear both day and night. The fabric is ultra-soft, and the high back keeps the weight off your shoulders while you adjust to your new size.”

Kadar listed the key design features of the bra: “unpadded, wireless cups; breathable bamboo fabric to keep you cool (plus it’s antibacterial and eco-friendly); padded, front-adjustable shoulder straps for total comfort; adjustable front closure with stylish golden hooks; soft elastic band that sits below incision sites; side loops to hold a breast band in place if you are recommended to use one; inner pockets to hold a pre-op breast sizer or post-mastectomy prosthesis.”

Kadar added that “this bra is designed for round-the-clock wear, and can be worn immediately following your surgery. However, we’ve kept the design chic and minimal enough that once you’re healed, you can keep using it as a yoga bra!”

The Essential Recovery bra is available in a range of cup and band sizes (while many other recovery bras are only available in small, medium and large). The bra closes in front, which makes it easy to adjust, and the shoulder straps “have our uniquely developed and super soft bands.” In addition, “all seams are on the outside to minimize irritation from the customer, and the back is all smooth (you do sleep like a zombie during healing).”

Ipomia orders for U.S. stores are shipped from a facility in Philadelphia. Contact info: retail@ipomia.com or (646) 741- 8639. Several U.S. stores already carry the collection, including Cherry Blossom in Washington.
