(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). Mary Young, an eponymous collection launched in 2014, will be exhibiting at Curve in February, after having previously “shown at Capsule in NYC.”
A spokesperson provided a description of the label, noting it “offers ethical Canadian made functional garments that celebrate natural beauty and encourage body positivity. Our mission is to ignite and inspire moments of self-love and acceptance through our intimates and more. Mary Young designs feature organic rayon from bamboo jersey and buttery soft mesh that offer long lasting wear that fit seamlessly into any wardrobe while having design details that allow the wearer to show their partner if they choose. We are growing a community that challenges the narrative of “sexy” by offering wearers functional intimates that are designed to empower them to reclaim their bodies.”
Bra sizes “range from XS-L fitting up to DDD and our panties and lounge range from XS-XL. Our USD price points vary from $40-$170 and our CAD price points vary from $48-$220.”
The spokesperson explained the company is “focused on boutique and department stores. Our designs and garments are complementary to other categories. We find a lot of success in retailers that carry mixed merchandise (jeans, shoes, knits, intimates, etc).”
U.S. stores that currently carry the label, according to the company, include Hawthorn Boutique in Oakland, CA; Azalea in San Francisco; Salix Intimates in New Paltz, NY; and Lille Boutique in Portland, OR. In Canada retailers include Chill Bay General on Vancouver Island; Good Neighbour in Toronto; Likely General in Toronto; LoversLand in Toronto; Stole My Heart in Toronto; The Hive in Georgian Bay; Kennedy Park in Guelph; Betina Lou in Montreal; and Boutique Unicorn in Montreal. The label is also online at Garmentory.com and other sites in the U.S. and Japan.
“We are very passionate about how our garments are made. We focus on ethical and sustainable practices every step of the way. We are focused on inspiring and igniting moments of self-love and acceptance by encouraging our consumers to celebrate their natural shape and to feel comfortable in their bodies.”
