(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). Last year Souad Sinai, the French born owner of the Absolutely Lingerie distributorship, acquired Huit, the famous lingerie label, vowing to restore it to its former prominence.
Now she has recreated many key elements of the collection, which will begin shipping in March. Included are several original designs, all using the same factory that has produced Huit over the past 16 years. She is also working with the same Huit designer, Marie Courteault.
“Continuity is very important,” she emphasized to BODY. Returning are wire bras, bralettes, loungewear and swimwear. “We are making six or eight styles in every category” to start, she said.
Two core groups that have historically performed well for retailers around the world are Essentiel and Arpege. Both will be available in March and will thereafter be in stock all year long.
Essentiel uses the same innovative technique of a “multi-design” stretch lace which combines stripes, tulles and flower motifs on the same lace-making frame. “An entirely lace theme with motif placement and molded bra for purity. Available in a timeless Marine color.”
“Arpege uses the same refined floral lace combined with a geometric under-band.” Sinai recommends the Cotton/Polyamide tulle for “absolute comfort.” Arpege is available in black.
New updates for these collections includes an expanded F cup size range in Arpege. In addition, all bottoms in Essentiel and Arpege are available up to XL.
Two additional groups that Huit is bringing back are Sweet Coton and Grand Jeu from the original best selling basics collections. Updates to the basics includes expanding the panty sizing up to XL.
Sinai noted that with Sweet Coton “the comfort, softness and simplicity of this stretch cotton is brought into graphic relief with a ladder hem. The bras of the collection feature molded cups. Available in Black and White.”
She added that the Grand Jeu collection “never goes out of style, season after season. Satin finished microfiber knit and stretch Jacquard lace. Ultra light, soft and second skin effect. These are the classic ranges which build up the Huit collection and are restocked all year long.”
Absolutely Lingerie will be delivering the Fashion collection around July 2020 for winter. The company is the exclusive distributor for Huit in North America. Sinai is also working with several distributors overseas to sell the brand around the world.
Soon after she acquired Huit, Sinai told BODY, “It is important for us to keep brand identity, the DNA.” She added, “We are investing the money to make this company stronger. People have been disappointed in the past. I don’t want them to think it will happen again. We have the capacity to develop this brand.” Contact her at (310) 289-8044 or email@example.com.
