(Filed Under Financial and General Interest News). Tim McNamara of McNamara Publishing has created an online sales tool called the “Module,” designed primarily to be used by sales representatives or wholesalers.
The software package allows a sales representative to show, and allow online ordering for, all the different vendors and products handled in his or her territory.
According to McNamara, the Module “can be set up in many different ways by the user and can even be incorporated by a trade show as a virtual show.” It can be operated as a stand-alone website, or it can be an added feature to an existing website.
Once the Module has been set up, by loading all the vendor SKUs, descriptions and prices, a rep would then assign each retailer in the territory with a specific ID and password.
“For many reps and even some wholesalers, the Module can provide a major enhancement to their sales efforts,” explained McNamara. “Retailers can log on, examine inventory and pricing and place orders any time of day or night. The rep or wholesaler can even block access to certain vendors in the stable, and protect certain portions of the Module with additional passwords.”
“The module is specific to the individual who owns it. However it is brand specific for populating product, customer access and orders. When populating product the Module becomes more intelligent as more and more product is entered. It remembers style numbers, sizes, descriptions, pricing, categories and colors.”
