(Filed Under Financial and General Interest News). After exploring the concept and dates with wholesalers and retailers in recent weeks, Eurovet Americas announced it will be holding a postponed Curve show at New York’s Javits Center (Hall 1E) September 21-23, 2020.
In acknowledgment of those who don’t want to come to New York for a show, Curve is adding a virtual component in which “buyers will schedule appointments with their vendors, digitally browse and discover new brands, and virtually shop new lingerie collections for their customers.” The show explained “Curve is becoming “phygital” and moving more into a hybrid of a physical and digital business platform for the industry.”
Marion Pradier-Sentucq, director of sales and marketing, stated, “beyond responding to the constraints of COVID-19, this hybridization allows an increase in the customization of the interactions, creating more bespoke, experiences both offline and online simultaneously. This will also allow brands and buyers that cannot join us in person to still play an active part in Curve and create business opportunities for them.”
Added Raphael Camp, Eurovet Americas CEO, “We firmly believe that live events, people meeting and connecting face-to-face, are critical to discover, connect and do business. However, the unique situation we are living forces us to adapt our shows. We are working in close collaboration with the appropriate authorities in NY, the Javits center, our suppliers and partners, and industry associations, to ensure the proper health and safety guidelines are in place for all our events. We will welcome exhibitors and visitors under the best possible conditions. Today, with the tech and digital capabilities available, we are able to extend and amplify the experiences and connections of the intimate apparel community with a more and more sustainable approach.”
Curve is working with Grip, an “AI-powered event matchmaking solution” in presenting the event.
