(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). Calida underwear sales fell 3.5% in 2020, while Aubade sales dropped 11.9%. Both brands are part of Switzerland-headquartered Calida Group.
In 2020 the Calida underwear division reported an operating contribution of 35,284,000 Swiss francs (CHF) (about $38.1 million at current exchange rates) on sales of 135,081,000 CHF (about $145.9 million), down from an operating contribution of 37,259,000 CHF (about $40.2 million) on sales of 140,016,000 CHF (about $151.2 million) in 2019.
Aubade reported an operating contribution of 14,861,000 CHF (about $16.0 million) on total sales of 55,494,000 CHF (about $59.9 million) in 2020, down from an operating contribution of 16,549,000 CHF (about $17.9 million) on sales of 62,955,000 CHF (about $68.0 million) in 2019.
Overall, the entire Calida Group, which also includes the Lafuma outdoor furniture division and the Millet Mountain Group sports gear brand, reported net income in 2020 of 5.9 million Swiss francs (about $6.4 million) on total sales of 332.7 million Swiss francs (about $359.2 million). Most of the company’s business is in Europe. In 2020, all the Group’s brands combined registered sales of just 3,538,000 CHF (about $3.8 million) in the U.S. In 2019 the total was 2,938,000 CHF (about $3.2 million). — NM
